Comment: OBAMA PASSED A LAW THAT ANY TENANT IN A FORECLOSURE MUST GET 90 DAYS NOTICE TO MOVE.
ALSO, THERE IS A PROGRAM CALLED CASH FOR KEYS..IF YOU LEAVE THE PROPERTY IN GOOD ORDER. AMOUNT IS NEGOTIABLE...$500 TO $2,500. |

Replies to this comment: Posted By Karen from California on September 23, 2009, 7:36 pm I am a realtor who lists bank owned properties - ones they have foreclosed on. Once a property is assigned to me my the bank - my first task is to see if the property is occupied. If so is the occupant a renter or prev. owner. The cash for keys (CFK) is an offer to move within a certain # of days for a certain $, leaving the house in broom clean condition, debris free, no damage/theft. So if the landlord ran off with your deposit this is one way to at least recoup some money. The amount the bank will pay for a CFK is up to them, I have no control over the final amount.
Hope this helps. Posted By jenn from California on August 27, 2009, 10:27 am I live in a rent, and just got a notice of trustee sale, scheduled for 9/11/09..so I have 90days after it sells to move out? is that correct.
Thanks. Posted By Pam from Arizona on August 19, 2009, 9:37 am cash for keys?
