A Fannie Mae agent contacted me (finally) he came to our home today, things are looking up! We are meeting again tomorrow and signing an agreement to rent month to month with the new program offered. I believe before fall we will own our home. Keep the prayers going, as we are for all, in our situation. There is hope out there and thank you to the staff of this website for letting us vent and get advice. We were the first in his region to qualify for the program. My suggestion to anyone dealing with this, is to be persistent and honest with them, it was like an angel of mercy! My husband who is disabled, is having a bad time and needs to be hospitalize but has been refusing, he is now ready to go for treatment, knowing we are going to be ok, at least for awhile. I don't know how I got them to listen but I was determined to get them to listen and went through every one I could, 4 or 5 dozen times. We did nothing wrong, we paid our bills, and did not deserve this stress, now it is possible to come out the winner in this case. DO NOT QUIT PAYING RENT put it in escrow, and be persistent, most of all don't give up hope, I will keep you informed as to our outcome. For now, I am at ease that we are not going to be homeless, next week, our savings is not going to be lost on a storage unit, and we are not going to get stuck in a lease at a temporary home we are not happy with. thanks again!!!

Our landlord had the nerve to act surprised that the house had been foreclosed on, we recieved a letter from the attorney for the mortgage company advising us the home will be taken over by HUD in the next 60 to 90 days, we can't qualify for a mortgage due to some credit issues, but always paid our rent to the landlord on time, when HUD takes over they will only rent month to month while putting the home up for sale. Are there any programs that would work for our situation here in michigan??

Thank you for sharing what is happening. I am getting worried. We are renting and have been having people come to the door and giving us information about foreclosure to give to our landlord. I spoke with him about this and he just keeps saying not to worry that he got a new mortgage. Well I AM worring. My husband is also disabled and this is stressing him out. We lost our home last year when he became disabled a year prior and things just kept snowballing. I don't want to move again!
