A man came to the door and gave us some papers, we told them we were renters, not the owner. He asked if we were paying rent, which we were, and informed us that the house was being foreclosed on. He said not to pay anymore rent. The property manager came over and we gave him a copy of the papers and told him what the other man said. The property manager told me I was in a contract with him. Not the landlord. He left upset. I am expecting a eviction notice from him. I have been in a lease in this house about 4 years. They charged first last and security. He acted like he knew nothing about the foreclosure. Now what?
